Developing a Voluntary Agricultural District for Mecklenburg County

The EEIF & Rivendell Farms Team has been working alongside Mecklenburg Soil & Water Conservation District, UNC Charlotte & Charlotte Mecklenburg Food Policy Council (CMFPC) on the pursuance of a Voluntary Agricultural District (VAD) in Mecklenburg County. A VAD would provide farmers a voice in land use and urban development conversation.
